Description

Google Play Music allows you to keep up to 20,000 of your favorite songs in the cloud.

gMusic is a Windows 8 client for Google Play Music. Main features are: playing music in background, playlists management, 5 starts rating system for songs, Last.fm Scrobbling (enable it in application settings, "accounts" page).

You need to have a Google Play Music account to use this application.

gMusic is a free application, but it contains advertisements, which can be removed by in-app purchases.
Current version of gMusic provides two paid packages:
"Ad Free" Package for $1.99, which will remove all advertisements from application.
"Ultimate" Package for $4.99, which also removes all advertisements and contains all future prices for all additional modules, which we will ship in future.

Please vote for features you want to see in next version of gMusic on https://gmusic.uservoice.com/. We care about what users want, we did not have any plans to support Last.fm Scrobbling, but because it was the first feature on the list - we implemented it in Version 1.2.

If you have any problems with this application feel free to contact us by gMusic@outcoldsolutions.com.

And follow http://twitter.com/gMusicW to know about all future plans.

FAQ

* You can't log in?
a) Make sure that you can access https://play.google.com/music/ site and you subscribed to Google Play Music service (it is not available in all countries yet).
b) If you are using 2-step Authentication - you just need to generate a password and use it with gMusic. Read about application-specific passwords here: http://support.google.com/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=185833
b) You still have issues? Please contact us: gMusic@outcoldsolutions.com

* Why gMusic does not use OAuth?
Google does not provide official API for Google Play Music and we just do not know how to do this, because we cannot register our application for this service.

* Does gMusic keep all accounts and password in safe place?
We use username and password only to get Tokens and Sessions keys, after this if you will set "Remember password" we will keep it in special storage for passwords (Windows 8 provides us this capability, it is very similar to how Internet Explorer stores passwords) and we do not use it until Google revokes previous Tokens (we store tokens between application starts).

* gMusic downloads everything, but cannot play music?
Please check that you have latest drivers for sound / video, and if you have ATI Catalyst Controller - try to uninstall it. Somehow this application can block gMusic (and other Music/Video applications).
If this is not your case - please send us email.

* gMusic do not play music loud in background?
This is feature of Windows 8, that if you have any applications which use sound system in foreground, than Windows changes the sound level of all applications in background. It can be a Skype or any other applications, sometimes restarting of Windows can fix this, if you do not know which of the applications use sound system in foreground.
