JT2Go for Windows Modern, developed by Siemens PLM Software, defines a new paradigm in viewing and interrogating 3D JT files. JT is the ISO standard for visualization and collaboration of 3D data. The latest release of JT2Go for Windows 8.1 delivers on innovative ideas. Users will experience an intuitive interface for navigating assembly structures found in engineering or architectural models stored as 3D JT. JT data can be generated from nearly all the major CAD/CAM/CAE tools available in industry today. JT2Go for Windows 8.1 Modern users will find the new home page display of JT models gives a seamless feel to loading data from local drives or the cloud. The new jog control allows for gesture driven navigation of assembly structures. The jog bar provides continuous cycling through a product structure by simply sliding your finger across the display. Also new with this release is the ability to display properties stored as metadata inside of JT file. Just set the Part App Bar and pick the selection button for display of Properties stored in the highlighted file. Display of Product Manufacturing Information (PMI) has new capabilities with this release. The updated version of JT2Go for Windows 8.1 Modern adds comprehensive filtering capabilities to the existing PMI display functions. PMI data can be organized and stored in JT files as Model Views. A graphic Model View selection capability now makes is easy to see the view you will display before it is selected. 3D printing is coming on strong and JT2Go for Windows 8.1 provides the support needed for effortless printing of 3D JT models. JT2Go delivers 3MF format 3D print files at the press of a button. Users are now also able to send JT files to OneNote for sharing. A fixed orientation of the JT models is stored with the ability to seamlessly go “live” with 3D interaction right from OneNote for Windows 8.1. User defined arrangements of JT content can be “Pinned” to the Start window for easy retrieval at any time. The model will come back each time in the saved orientation ready for use. Want to see a 3D JT file in a live scene, just turn on the background camera feature and the JT model displays as an integrated part of the live background. JT was defined by Siemens PLM and is supported through the JT Open Program. The JT file format specification was adopted by ISO as an international standard in 2012 and is available from ISO as IS 14306:2012. In this update: 1. Support for multiple languages (German, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, English, Italian, French, Russian, Korean). This can be changed from application settings (settings charm -> options). The language change will take effect immediately. 2. Added additional 3D printing options for rotational axis, rotational angle, and scale. These are seen in the 3D Printing options form. 3. Added a button to allow for all pmi filters to be selected 4.
