MIDI Quantizer is a software router and pitch quantizer for MIDI devices and events.
This app accepts input from a single MIDI device and routes it to up to four MIDI devices. For example, send input from a MIDI keyboard or sequencer to multiple hardware devices or multiple channels on one or more devices.
The quantizer function allows you to select a musical key signature and force all input notes to the nearest note which is part of the selected key.
Other options allow you to offset input notes by pitch or time or volume, for example to create chords from a single input note, or to echo input.
As of version 2.1, the free trial version has all the functionality of the full version. If you use and appreciate the program, please do upgrade to the full version to help support continued development. Now available in all versions are features including keyboard splitting, saving/loading presets and assigning custom names to MIDI devices. If your multi-port MIDI interface shows up in Windows as “MIDI 1, MIDI 2…”, you can assign friendly names for your MIDI devices for use in the application.
MIDI Quantizer is part of the MIDI Playground series of apps from NaiveSoft.
