A simple yet powerful Pomodoro timer with tracking ability, a simple and easily navigated UI and a fantastic dong sound!
The Pomodoro technique is an amazingly effective focusing tool; its power comes from its simplicity. An egg clock, 25 minutes of focus and then rest. I don't use it all the time, but when I need to focus on a task and can't get into the flow because of distractions and interruptions, the Pomodoro technique always delivers for me.
I tried out several apps and web-based Pomodoro timers but didn't find one just how I wanted it. So, being a programmer, I figured I'd have to put one together myself. So I did.
This is my second or third attempt. So I think I've achieved a good app from the experience I've gathered.
Furthermore, I've added a tracking feature. Each Pomodoro session is saved on your device and shown in the history list. You can even make notes on it, so at the end of the day, you can go back to your completed Pomodoros and see what you've worked on and how many Pomodoros you've completed without interruption.
Coming up: Sync between devices, Android and Ios companions, exporting Pomodoros and webhooks to integrate with your time reporting tool.
