DeskCloud is an application for those of you tired of paying 15$/ month for cloud storage.
A lot of us have Desktops at home, and the cost of storage has been on the decline for many years. DeskCloud will allow for extremely simple installation of a RESTful server on your computer at home. And will allow you to keep as many devices as you wish synced to your desktop, or even multiple desktops at once for redundancy.
Currently, DeskCloud will automate the upload of files to the server. You can also download any file stored on the server, synced by any of your devices.
The Sync, Upload, and Download requests are two-way encrypted per device, to make sure no one can download or upload from your desktop except you.
The server can be exposed to a public network, in a similar way to Plex, so you can keep syncing while on the go.
