The Reading Output Translator converts between output types generated by machine reading algorithms. The translator quickly and efficiently translates between files in the FRIES and MITRE formats while also converting to the Pitt modeling formalism, developed by the University of Pittsburgh.
Control translations using the app's "Settings" pane. Evaluate each translation using the "Summary" feature, where detailed descriptions of translation completeness and potential errors can be found. Finally, save the translated data in the FRIES or MITRE formats as JSON files (.json) or data in the Pitt formalism as a comma-delimited spreadsheet (.csv).
The translator breaches a technological "language barrier", allowing systems biologists and computational linguists to cooperate toward functional and complete genome-scale biochemical reconstructions, especially when a variety of data mining techniques are employed.
