“Astropro” is a all in one app for Vedic Almanac, calendar of festivals, horoscope casting with analysis, and also to determine muhurthas for auspicious events. Thus it unveils the power of Vedic Astronomy for a successful and peaceful spiritual life. Users can set any major city around the world and work with different key menu categories provided on the expandable left pane for easy navigation. Hamburger button can expand this menu categories with titles. Title and features are briefly discussed below.
Home screen:
This provides almanac for the current date which includes Sunrise, Sunset, day’s star and its transition time, lunar month, tithi and Vedic year followed by any major festival events at the given city or town. Users can pick any date form the calendar date picker and get almanac details as well as charts for planetary positions. Charts are presented in both South Indian and North Indian formats that one can easily switched between the two.
Almanac:
This section gives the Vedic almanac details for a given month in a table form. Users can quickly glance through the list of important festivals, days for rituals etc. in order to plan their own personal calendar of activities. This table is supplemented with a table of ephemeris of planets and Ascendant at sunrise time.
Astrochart
One can quickly cast horoscopes for any given place and time with key astrological analysis. Analysis button provided on the toolbar helps in switching between different analysis while chart in place. Here is the list of major astrological analysis done as per Varaha Mihira (Founder of many astrological theories).

3. Dasa-bhukti analysis
4. Pratyantar dasha Analysis.
5. Sapthavarga/Dashavarga analysis.

This saves from the treachery involved in exhaustive computational skills required to perform these tasks and makes it readily available for quick interpretation. You can save your charts in a file for quick access as and when required. App allows you to store up to 100 individual’s chart data and once loaded you can navigate and select a specific chart for display. You can also delete charts that are no longer needed.
Muhurtha:
App helps the users to elect days for important events such as marriage, upanayana, and other general purpose. App generates calendar of dates for a given year and month with almanac details and in case of harmonious days its suitability with respect to individual birth star.
Matrimonial:
This section helps in match making based on stars compatibility. It compares birth stars of two persons and list out points scored under individual category with overall compatibility in percentages.
Eclipses:
Both Solar and Lunar eclipses have been observed from Vedic days. These events got special significance in Vedic rituals based on specific rasi or constellation where eclipse takes place. Therefore App provides this information on rasi and constellation where umbral and total eclipse occurs. Astronomical data are also provided on each eclipse for direct verification and validation of this app.
Location:
For security reasons this app does not use location services provided on the individual devices. Instead it provides country/continent wise list of major cities around the world. Users can pick nearest city that is in the same time zone and edit its longitude and latitude if necessary.
Help
Help file provides a Vedic almanac glossary with brief writing on various keywords, terminology and legend used in various sections of this app. It is quite educational even for beginners and people can quickly comprehend its significance with different computational logic used for the purpose.
