This is FUUT: Flex-Users Updating Tool. This app is used by the Radboud University and will not be of much use for other users.
With Fuut you can reformat your excel files into a csv file that can be read by brightspace, allowing for enrolling multiple students into groups with a single file (https://documentation.brightspace.com/EN/le/user_management/admin/create_a_file_for_bulk_user_management.htm). In addition, it creates an xlsx file containing potential warnings, indicating if students need to be unenrolled, or if brightspace groups first need to be created.
Three xlsx input files are required.
1) a list of the students that are currently enrolled in the brightspace groups.
2) a list of students that should be enrolled from now on. Both of these files are expected to be in the format as it can be downloaded from osiris. (One row for each student and 8 columns: Student number, Last name, Prefix, First Name, Course Year, Period, Course name.)
3) An xlsx file containing two columns, with the first containing the course codes as they are used in Osiris. The second should contain the group names as they are used in brightspace.
