Forces each photo and video in Apple's iCloud folder to download and become local to your computer. Apple's iCloud App no longer downloads your photos and videos, instead, they’re on-demand links to your cloud versions, which causes issues with backups, viewing your photos and videos, using Microsoft Photos App, and going off-line.
Please note, for this application to work, you need to have Apple's iCloud App installed and configured to download your photos. This app is also not affiliated with Apple in any way.
Designed to be super-simple and get on with the job, Cloud Photos Downloader will force the download of all files in your iCloud Photos album, this includes videos, raw, jpeg, jpg, png, screenshots, etc.
Downloading files can take time. Downloading 50,000 files, for example, from iCloud will take a long time, even on the fastest broadband speed, so it's best to run over-night when first run. To help speed this up there's an "Unlimited Bandwidth Use" toggle which, when on, pushes the Apple iCloud Client to use as much bandwidth as possible; when off, it'll allow the iCloud client to download at its own default speed.
