Warami - it’s good to see you!
Dharug is one of 250 Aboriginal languages with over 800 dialects nationwide.
The Dharug language was traditionally spoken by the Dharug people which are said to have occupied the lands of Western Sydney, New South Wales.
Here you can immerse yourself in the Chifley College mural, where you are introduced to elements of Dharug language, art, music and culture.
Walk around the room and click on scenes and artefacts to find out their Dharug names and their translations in English. Great efforts are currently being made to reawaken Dharug as a spoken language today.
