Battery charging cycles are important for your battery to maximize its' lifetime. As you might already know, any Lithium-ion battery will naturally degrade over time, leading to reduced charge capacity compared to when it is new. Consistently keeping your laptop plugged in to the power and keeping your battery fully charged, accelerates this deterioration process. To address this problem, this software was created to better manage the charging cycle of the battery that should extend the battery life.
With this battery manager software installed on your pc, you can set the minimum and maximum levels for the battery. The lowest levels can be set between 5 - 30%, and the maximum levels can be set between 75 - 100%. This will allow you to fully charge/discharge the battery when; and as you please. However, the ideal settings should be set between 30 - 85%. These values should serve to prolong the overall health and lifespan of your battery while reducing the need to replace the battery earlier. You can access the application settings by clicking the battery icon located on the bottom right-hand side of the taskbar on your laptop.
You will get a sound notification when the battery level reaches your settings and a popup message will be displayed, indicating that the battery level has been reached. If you don't have a smart plug device yet, you can make use of the sound notification to be alert when you are next to your laptop.
