The purpose of the Green Point First Mile (GPFM) app is to provide private waste producers with a tool that
allows them to quickly and effectively interact with half-mile (GPMM) or waste managers. In this way, they can
easily request their collection, respond to the collection request by the half miles, control the identification of
the GPMM or waste managers, waste counter and other functionalities that will be progressively added to the
application. For this reason, it is an essential tool to ensure communication between producers and managers,
maintain traceability, etc.
PackagYng is the term used by the greenYng platform to refer to the packaging unit of a waste that usually has
a single LER code, but can also have more than one if the GPFM has different characteristics. That is, the unit
can be made of a single material or several, and this information is saved in its identifying QR.
We call a set of PackagYng ClusterYng. These terms allow us to measure the waste generated, present the
product that will be obtained by recycling it, and follow its trajectory during the waste value chain, that is,
ensure the traceability of the entire process.
