Building a simple shared 3D scene can (depending on skills) take days or even months of development. What if you just wanted to put something together quickly and share it with people in 10 minutes? That's where Scenaria and Scenaria Creator can help.
Note: This version of the app is for Hololens 1, we are making lots of progress on the changes required to support Hololens 2 (as it becomes available).
Scenaria (this app) is the Mixed Reality browser that lets people see and participate in 3D experiences. Scenaria Creator is the Mixed Reality tool for building scenes. (Note: the creator is not on general release yet, email support@scenaria.net for more information).
If you have any web development skills then Scenaria browser can be used without the creator to allow you to build scenes right now. All you need is a text editor to allow you to place simple XML markup into normal HTML web page (or blog posts) and then point the Scenaria browser at it.
Scenaria IS IN BETA and currently supports linking scenes together (hyperlinks), labels, .OBJ & .GLB (GLTF) assets, .WAV audio files, scripting, anchor sharing, and multi-lensing etc.
Note in this beta we assume that you have internet access to get going and for multi-lensing (using 2 or more Hololenses to view the same scene).
If you want to try this then please contact support@scenaria.net and we will help and visit our blog at https://blog.scenaria.co.uk/ or email the Scenaria Team at support@scenaria.net for more details.
Scenaria and Scenaria creator support Multi-lensing (two or more HoloLens seeing the same scene), shared anchors, scripting, synchronised media playback, scene and asset loading (direct from a web server via HTTP/S) and event handlers.
E.g. To draw a red cube in front of the camera add the following XML mark-up to a .htm page, save it to a web server and point Scenaria at the URL.
So as an example these tags could be placed in a web page (note if you want to embed the tags within an existing page or a blog post surrounding the XML with HTML comment tags )

Note
1) The in the above example the attribute UID="A1" is the Unique ID for this asset, this is name that is then referenced in scripting.
2) The name RedCube is one of 3 builtin assets for playing with (Red/White and Blue)
The following HTML page will display two cubes, clicking on the red one will load a scene from a different external web server.
