Compare and synchronize files and folders using a variety of powerful and customizable commands. Backup files and folders, maintaining revisions of older backups, or simply make sure one folder has the same files and folders as another. When comparing one folder to another, find out which files are new, newer, older, missing, or matching. Use simple file operation commands to copy, move, or delete selected files from the source and/or destination folder, or use powerful commands to perform copy, move, and delete operations on the entire list of files using rules called sync methods to decide how to process each file.
Sync methods are customizable commands, allowing you to assign each comparison status its own file operation, giving you enormous flexibility. Sync2Folders Pro also offers exclusions, allowing you to exclude files and folders based on simple rules or using regular expressions. Customizable filters let you add, edit, and delete filters to only display those files important to you at any given time.
While Sync2Folders Pro normally displays a list of files with detailed information on each file and its status, it also has a compact mode, which removes the file list and displays only pertinent information. Sync2Folders Pro can log detailed information on comparison results, which files and folders are excluded, and synchronization results.
Sync2Folders Pro compares files by comparing their modified dates and times, and can compare executable files by either comparing their version info (this is the default behavior) or the file's dates and times.
