Drug Data provides information from the Federal Drug Administration (FDA) on prescription and over-the-counter drugs for human consumption in the United States. The data provided is intended as an information source only. Consult a physician or pharmacist before the purchase or use of any drugs listed in the data.
For prescription drug data, tap the Prescription Button. After the data is loaded, which may take a few moments, a grid will appear containing 8,894 drugs sorted by Name, listing also the dosage and the generic name of the drug. You may search the list by Name or Generic Name As you type in the letters of the name, the list is narrowed to those drugs with first letters being the letterers you have entered. Type slowly. If you type rapidly, the response may take a while to catch up.
A tap on a drug will produce a popup with information about the drug. If you click on the View Documentation button, in your default PDF viewer you will be able to view detailed and extensive information at the FDA about this drug.
For Over-the-Counter drugs, the process is the same with the exception that there is no View Documentation button. There are 50,936 items in the OTC list; however it loads faster.
Again: The data provided here is from the FDA site as of October 2017. It is intended as an information source only. Consult a physician or pharmacist before the purchase or use of any drugs listed here.
