Tower of Hanoi is a "puzzle" consisting of a base containing three pins, one of which some discs are arranged one above the other, in increasing order of diameter, from top to bottom. The problem consists in moving all the disks from the first to the last pin using a pin as an aid, so that a larger disk is never over another smaller in any situation. The number of disks can vary the simplest being that contains only three.
The Tower of Hanoi has been traditionally regarded as a procedure for assessing the capacity of working memory, and especially planning and troubleshooting.
