Freestyle Love Supreme is an improvised musical comedy show created by the rap group of the same name. The series mixes fully improvised stage shows with impromptu, real world sketches set in NYC to create a unique comedy with no script.The stage show is fueled by the words and topics provided by the audience. The group of MCs and musicians instantaneously spin those suggestions into fully improvised songs. The music ranges from energetic party anthems to heartfelt ballads - all created in the moment. Off-stage, we see how their art informs their lives and work in real world, spontaneous sketches that are influenced by the stage content. The result is a unique comedy, rich with invention and created without a script.Each week MCs Lin-Manuel Miranda, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Chris Jackson, Anthony Veneziale, beatboxer Chris Sullivan, and musicians Bill Sherman and Arthur Lewis give their musical and lyrical take on everything from student loans to memory foam mattresses.
