It's the late 1870s in the beautiful town of Avonlea. Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert, a middle-aged brother and sister who had intended to adopt a boy to help them on their farm, are mistakenly sent a young girl by the name of Anne Shirley. The charming but feisty redhead must win over the whole town and stay out of trouble if she's to stay at Green Gables.
