Bernie lives with buddy Hubert in the small town of Heppenstätt. Bernies dreams of a theater production that will make Heppenstätt the focal point of the theater world. Bernies ex-girlfriend Lola is to sew the costumes again, but here revenge is sweet then. Bernie's heart is captured by Lydia, who also auditions for the casting, and Hubert has his eye on Lola.
