Valery Gergiev and Renat Salavatov conduct the Orchestra of the Mariinsky Theatre and the Chorus of the Tartar State Academic Opera in a Gala concert from the Kazan Opera. This concert was held on the occasion of the Olympic Universiade in Kazan in 2013, as part of a tribute to the Kazan-born bass singer Feodor Chaliapin (1873-1938). Among the soloists are Ildar Abdrazakov, Akhmed Agadi Aida Garifullina and Gevorg Hakobyan.
