This February 22, 1971 concert, recorded at Studio 32 in Joinville following a concert at Maison de la radio in Paris the night before, features a performance of avant-garde jazz ensemble Circle, consisting of Chick Corea (piano), Dave Holland (double bass), Anthony Braxton (saxophone), and Barry Altschul (drums). Both Corea and Holland had been members of Miles Davis’s jazz fusion band of the late 1960s. Circle recorded only a few albums during its short-lived existence, from 1970 to 1971.
