Newlyweds Ellie and Martin have both reached roadblocks in their careers. Ellie is unable to get placed at the local police department, while Martin is an unemployed teacher, and their financial struggle has forced them to move back in with Ellie's parents. Ellie volunteers at the local police department in the hope of getting hired, but the two get wrapped up in a crime they must stop.
