The French Foriegn Legion fears an uprising by the Arabs to control the oil fields in Algeria. They need a spy. Yvonne De Carlo agreed to help the Legion once before, but had to dupe her lover, Carlos Thompson (a Legionaire turned agent), to reveal a traitor in the ranks. In the process she lost her lover. So she's reluctant to get involved again but, in the end, patriotism wins out.
