The Berliner Philharmoniker is consistently ranked as one of the best orchestras in the world. In 1991 members of this great orchestra got together for some beautiful chamber music pieces. One of them is Beethoven's Septet in E-flat major, Op. 20. Beethoven finished his septet in 1800 and dedicated this work to Empress Maria Theresa of Naples and Sicily. This version by the soloists of the Berliner Philharmoniker is recorded in the Philosophers' Hall in the library of Strahov Monstery in Prague. The septet consists of Bernd Gellerman (violin), Rainer Moog (viola), Jörg Baumann (Violincello), Klaus Stoll (double-bass), Karl Leister (clarinet), Radovan Vlatkovic (french horn) and Milan Turkovic (bassoon).
