il Messaggero (The Messenger) was a finalist in the 2021 Russo Brothers Film Forum. An Italian man from a small village in Italy brings messages of hope and joy to the U.S. as an immigrant in 1966. In doing so, he unknowingly immortalizes a generation of Italians through rare audio recordings. More than 50 years later we see its impact on the next generation living in the U.S. Director's cut.
