An exploration of nonviolent organizing through the life and teachings of Rev. James Lawson. Lawson provided strategic guidance while working with Martin Luther King, Jr. during the Civil Rights Movement and the Memphis sanitation strike of 1968. The film presents Lawson's discourse on nonviolent direct action in the context of today's struggles against inequality, systemic racism and violence.
