An impassioned caseworker with The Innocence Initiative, Christine Rosa, (played by Marin Ireland: 'Homeland,' 'Boss,' and 'Side Effects') struggles to stop the impending execution of a death row inmate, whom she believes was wrongly convicted of a young family's heinous murder 11 years earlier. In her search for the truth, Christine confronts an equally passionate district attorney, Adam Page, (played by Damon Gupton: 'The Newsroom' and 'Prime Suspect'), whose view of justice is colored by shades of gray. Adam's actions put a strain on his marriage to Billie Page, (played by Nia Long: 'The Best Man Holiday' and 'House of Lies'), a powerhouse corporate attorney at a crossroads in her personal and professional life. Christine, Adam, and Billie's lives intertwine as they wrestle with the complex question of one man's guilt or innocence, and are forced to reconcile their lofty principles with their own actions. Co-created by Richard LaGravenese (Academy Award(R) winning and Emmy Award(R) nominated writer of 'Behind the Candelabra,' 'The Fisher King,' 'Water for Elephants,' and 'The Bridges of Madison County') and Tony Goldwyn (Director of 'Conviction' and 'A Walk on the Moon', as well as episodes of 'Justified,' 'Damages,' and 'Dexter'), 'The Divide' is the first scripted program to air on WE tv, produced by AMC Studios. The pilot was produced by AMC, written by LaGravenese and directed by Goldwyn.
