Daniel Radcliffe stars in a drama based on the true story of how the writer Rudyard Kipling used his influence to gain a commission in the Irish Guards for his 17-year-old son, Jack. Despite having poor eyesight, Jack is soon stationed on the front line in WWI, eventually reported missing in action during the Battle of Loos. Kipling and his wife Elsie spend years searching for their son, discovering heartache and pain, unable to reconcile their grief.
