This show includes many touching moments, including King Sister Alyce dedicating "I'll Be Home for Christmas" to her son away in the army, who then surprises her on the show and they finish the song together. The King Family Show, starring the King Sisters (Donna, Yvonne, Luise and Alyce) and guitar virtuoso Alvino Rey (married to Luise), debuted on ABC on Saturday, January 23, 1965. The show featured many extended members of the family -- with more than thirty sisters, brothers, husbands, wives, aunts, uncles, and children being featured over the years.
