A newspaper ad brought three men together for a journey of 14,000 miles from Belfast to Singapore in the iconic car, the Morris Mini. Dividing duties between them, Alan Speer captured the trip on film, Peter Newman became the journey's resident chef, and David Harvey, the mechanic. Driving their way through Europe to Asia, they filmed Iraq in the early days of Saddam Hussein, the then peaceful lands of Afghanistan and Pakistan, war-struck India, till they reached Singapore, through Penang. A Mini Adventure brings to life a journey that only an intrepid few could take on.
