Charles Dickens' tale of an orphan boy in 1830's London who falls in with a gang of thieves gets a surprisingly good treatment in this Monogram Pictures release. With child star Dickie Moore as Oliver, director William J. Cowen helped kick off a wave of Dickens inspired movies that dominated movie screens throughout the 1930s. Also, look for Irving Pichel as the manipulative Fagin, William Boyd as the notorious Bill Sikes and Sonny Ray as the ubiquitous Artful Dodger!
