In a terrifying post-apocalyptic world inhabited by sadistic gangs divided into deadly factions, Nina (Kate Bosworth) and Mark (Tyler Hoechlin) race desperately across the devastated and lawless countryside in search of safety and must work together as they are pushed to the breaking point in order to survive. After years of political strife, racial tension, rising disease, poverty, debt, violence, over population and depleting resources, the government makes a decision to hit the reset button, wiping out all life for a fresh start at a new kind of America.
