Adapted from the smash hit Jerome Kern-Oscar Hammerstein II stage musical of the same name, this is the third rousing collaboration between director Herbert Wilcox, lovely leading lady Anna Neagle (Odette, Victora the Great) and RKO Radio Pictures. Neagle stars as the titular Sunny O’Sullivan, a circus performer who falls in love with a rich car dealer’s son against her family’s wishes in this delightful comic romp.
