Athens' Parthenon was considered in antiquity to be the supreme example of mathematical perfection in architecture. In this lecture Dr. William Neidinger examines the construction and decoration of the temple, its subsequent history as a Christian church, Moslem mosque, arsenal, and tourist attraction, its destruction by the Venetians, and the fate of its statuary.
