Mr. Lucke is a low-budget, independent feature film that stars Jerri Manthey of Survivor 2 fame, who also posed for Playboy Magazine. This is the first feature for Star Jerri Manthey and the film's director, Charles B. Unger. Mr. Lucke is a college romantic adventure that takes place in one day, in Los Angeles. We shot the film here in LA, for less than $14,000 and spent an additional eight thousand for post-production. We financed it on six credit cards. This no-budget film is a great example of what can be done for very little money. Mr. Lucky, (Marc Robinson) a young fashion photographer, leaves a high paying job interview to chase after Lana (Jerri Manthey) a beautiful model from New York. He pursues her through the streets of Los Angeles and the chase becomes a metaphor for relationships. This cat and mouse game ends when his agent (Marshal Hilton) interrupts their date and forces him to choose between the girl of his dreams and the opportunity of a lifetime. Mr. Lucke was profiled on Entertainment Tonight, and E! News Daily. Entertainment Weekly reviewed it and praised it; "The Slick Black and White Drama really captures Jerri's Range." In addition to Jerri Manthey, Mr. Lucke features the voice talents of Richard Speight Jr. (Band of Brothers) and Jim Hanna (War of the Worlds) Mr. Lucke is available now for the first time on video.
