The International Nuits d'Afrique Festival invites its audience on a global musical journey in the festive, authentic and cosmopolitan atmosphere of Montreal. Featuring over 700 artists from all over the world, the annual festival blends unique expressions of African, Caribbean and Latin American culture. One of the festival’s participants is Degg J Force 3. This group was founded in 1997 in the Kaloum district of Conakry, Guinea, by brothers Moussa and Ablaya M’Baye (alias Skandal) and Moussa Camara (alias 2Pac). The band's name, Wolof for “Force 3 truth”, refers to the Right, the Good and the True. Operating between Afro rap, Afro reggae and dancehall, the trio stands out for its political and social commitment. Drawing their inspiration from the rich culture of the African continent they awaken consciences through the themes they raise.
