The blues helped form the basis for rock & roll, with many early acts in the genre citing legendary bluesmen as their inspiration. Around the top of any aficionados list were the names of Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee, who helped define the blues with their matchless combination of vocals, harmonica, and guitar. They come together again on this magical performance courtesy of Pete Seger's RAINBOW QUEST, with a full-length show from the 1960s. Adjoined to these festivities comes a show featuring Mississippi John Hurt, Hedy West, and Paul Cadwell, who also offer some inimitable blues-based sounds in a separate program.
