Three children learn the history of the Transcontinental Railway from stories told by Sam Bradford, (Bob Dowty), the 1869 engineer of the 119 Union Pacific locomotive, which met the Central Pacific Jupiter at Promontory Point May 10, 1869. Built by Irish, Dutch, German, Italian, Chinese immigrants along side Union and Confederate Soldiers and freed African slaves just after the Civil War.
