The film projects the life of Waghya Murli community in Maharashtra. It creates awareness about the exploitation, sorrow & traditions that prevail in the community. It throws light on injustice to the children where parents offer them to God to keep their vows. One such girl Malan, who is offered by her father to the service of God, much against the wish of her mother, after she attains puberty.
