The servants Franco and Ciccio are at the service of a rich and eccentric noblewoman who is convinced that her cat is the reincarnation of her deceased husband. After the woman's sudden death, the two discover that she has bequeathed them a fair amount of money, as long as they take care of the cat, which it turns out isn't easy to do.
