During his day job as a criminal interpreter, filmmaker Rodrigo Reyes met a young man named Sansón, an undocumented immigrant who was given life in prison without parole. They worked together over a decade, using letters as inspiration for recreations of Sansón's childhood. The result is a portrait of navigating immigration and the criminal justice system.
