Jabu is a young novelist tormented by his personal demons of alcohol and drug addiction. After a stint in rehab, and maintaining three months sobriety, he returns to Johannesburg, South Africa to serve on the jury of a film festival. However, his main purpose is to rekindle his relationship with his son, Timmy.
