Sami works in a children’s home which is in danger of closing. The young man is also an enthusiastic stadium usher and has convinced the president of the Olympique de Marseille football club to help them. But the children already had their own plan. They stole the Cup from the trophy room and left it in the trunk of Sami’s car. The next day, the Cup has disappeared. Sami is convinced that it was taken by Parisian fans, who had also tagged his car with graffiti. So, to infiltrate their circle, Sami must learn to pass for a true Parisian. From one adventure to the next, Sami discovers a city that is radically different from what he imagined. The sound of crickets has been replaced by honking horns, Parisian accents, and jaded smiles. The opposite of Sami, Lisa is a typical Parisian girl – ambitious, inaccessible, charming, and always rushed. She is naturally suspicious of everyone. The two clash when they first meet, but Sami’s candor and contagious generosity soon soften her up. With all this going on, Sami can’t lose sight of his goal – to bring home the Cup! And fast, because the authorities are threatening to close down the children’s home if Sami is no longer there to care for the kids. Thankfully, Lisa is the answer to Sami finding the Cup. Her brother, Pierre, a wild animal during games but docile when teaching his nursery school classes, has the key to the storeroom where the Cup has been stashed. But Sami hasn’t the slightest inkling of where this quest will take him…
