LogonExpert Autologon is a tool designed to automate and secure the logon process for Windows systems. It supports automatic logon for various types of Windows accounts, including local accounts, Active Directory domain accounts, Microsoft (formerly Windows Live) accounts, and Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) accounts. The tool ensures that autologon credentials are securely encrypted using the AES 256 algorithm, and directly integrates with the Windows logon process to maintain system security during logon operations.
It allows multiple users to log on simultaneously to a single machine, either through the application's graphical interface, command line, or scripts.
LogonExpert can be remotely managed via the built-in command line tool (le.exe) or the LogonExpert Administrator interface. This remote control extends to performing logon, logoff, locking, and unlocking of the system, providing flexible remote management of devices.
The application also supports scheduling, allowing users to configure delayed or timed logoffs, user desktop locking, as well as scheduled logons with wake-up capability
Includes the ability to automatically lock the workstation after autologon, using either the standard Windows lock function or a transparent desktop lock, which keeps the desktop visible but protected from input. LogonExpert also bypasses typical barriers to autologon, such as Ctrl+Alt+Del prompts and system legal notices.
LogonExpert is compatible with third-party two-factor (2FA) and multi-factor (MFA) authentication systems such as Duo, Imprivata, Okta, etc., making it suitable for use in environments where additional security is required during the autologon process. The software also includes the ability to interrupt the autologon process if needed, by simply pressing the Shift key.
